Named in 2018 by CEO Today Magazine as one of the top 100 outstanding consultancy experts across the globe, Jennifer is one of 20 executive coaches in North America to hold the Master Corporate Executive Coach Fellow designation, awarded through the MEECO Leadership Institute and reserved for coaches operating at mastery levels within organizational environments. After 12 years working in France to hone her communication and business skills in both languages, Jennifer moved back to Canada in 2005. In creating her business, JGK Consulting in 2008, Jennifer’s goal was to raise the bar on executive development in order to help develop better leaders in order to sustain good business. A passionate lifelong learner, she completed her Master’s degree in Adult Learning & Development during her years in France, participating in one of the first global online learning platforms. Upon her return to Canada, Jennifer became a certified coach, and won the prestigious ICF Prism Award for excellence in organizational coaching in 2014 with one of her clients, a global professional services firm. In order to create organizational learning experiences that actually had impact and greater skills retention, Jennifer started exploring neuroscience and its connection to leadership behaviour in 2013, and has since made it a foundational pillar of the company’s program content and design. She became a Certified Mentor Coach in 2016 to expand services for clients who wished to become better leaders through learning how to be coaches. Jen’s sweet spot is moving disengaged or struggling groups forward through honest and effective coaching and group facilitation, achieving stronger leadership and team alignment. She is particularly skilled at working with diverse executive teams and has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by leaders within both operational and service environments. Her leadership coaching style is as daring as her choice in shoes and her multifaceted organizational and international experiences offer clients unique perspectives and insights. Jennifer strongly believes that making a positive impact on organizations through good leadership is one way of successfully navigating the constant challenges people face in today’s society. To that end, she is vested in select not-for-profit organizations offering mentoring support to associations whose mandate it is to improve the lives of those less fortunate. She is an active member of the Association of Corporate Executive Coaches and is currently part of the Braintrust build team. Under her tutelage, JGK Consulting has developed a broad client base which includes global organizations with over 200,000 employees and smaller businesses with anywhere from 50-20,000 employees. JGK Consulting currently has clients in most areas of the private sector, including engineering, finance, professional services, hospitality and high tech.
