Jeffrey Shaw

Jeffrey is the senior manager, Client Support Services, at Ryan, specializing in providing commodity tax advice and guidance to clients throughout North America. He has more than 30 years of experience in both accounting and sales tax issues, focusing on health care, financial services, consumer and industrial electronics, waste management, and computer hardware and software industries. He frequently prepares and delivers seminars on various Canadian commodity tax topics, including GST/HST, PST and common audit exposures. He researched and wrote a paper for presentation at the 2014 CPA Canada Commodity Tax Symposium entitled “Real Property – Fact or Fiction?” He has also made numerous other Commodity Tax Symposium presentations, including the 2015 session “Less is More: Sampling’s Role in Commodity Tax Audits” and the 2007 session “The Auditor is Coming! – How to Manage Sales Tax Audits and Assessments.”
