Ian J Mise

Ian, FCPA, is the founder, president and CEO of LeadingEdge Payroll Group, a Canadian-based consulting firm established in 1996 and considered a global leader in HR, Payroll and Workforce Management best practices. Before establishing LeadingEdge, he was the first full-time President of The Canadian Payroll Association (CPA). He is also the developer / author of the American Payroll Association’s (APA) Best Practices course. While an active member of both the APA and CPA, he was a member of APA’s National Speaker’s Bureau and Board of Contributing Writers for PayTech. Ian received the APA’s meritorious service award in 1993 and was awarded an honorary lifetime membership by the CPA in 2001. In June 2006, he was awarded the Diana Ferguson Founder’s Award by the CPA for his exemplary service and contributions to the Payroll community over the past 25 years. In 2011, he was one of a select few who were given initial Fellow status by the Canadian Payroll Association. His consulting experience includes major projects with some of North America’s largest organizations in the areas of best practices, service delivery modeling, process re-design, insourcing/outsourcing assessments, technology solution evaluations and implementation, mergers/acquisitions, control framework and compliance.
