Guylaine Deschênes

PhD

Guylaine is an organizational psychologist. She began her career as a human resource generalist at a national company. She was then hired as a psychologist by a large industrial psychology firm. With more than a decade of experience from these two organizations, she opted for self-employment by launching her own practice. Since 2006, she has been offering services to individuals and organizations in practice areas such as career management, work/life coaching, psychometric skills assessment, and the selection, engagement and development of individuals in the workplace.

Guylaine has had the opportunity to speak on the subject of work/life balance at various conferences and events. In addition, she regularly writes articles for trade journals or the general public on a variety of themes related to organizational psychology. She is the author of the book “Harmoniser sa vie : l'art de concilier le travail et la vie personnelle,” published in February 2013 by Éditions Québec-Livres.

Guylaine holds a BA in Psychology from McGill University and a PhD in Psychology from the Université de Montréal for which she wrote her thesis on work/life balance. She is a member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés du Québec, the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec and the Société Québécoise de Psychologie du Travail et des Organisations.
