Fauna Kingdon is a CPA, CA originally from Iqaluit, Nunavut and now residing in Winnipeg, Manitoba as the Senior Manager of Capacity Development for the First Nations Financial Management Board. She also has a Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) degree and Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager (CAFM) designation.

Ms. Kingdon has consistently contributed to her community on territorial, provincial, and national levels. During her years in Nunavut, she received numerous awards for community involvement including the Nunavut Youth Commissioner’s Award for Outstanding Youth Role Model, Government of Nunavut Youth Award for Volunteerism, and Miss World Nunavut.

On a national level, Ms. Kingdon received the Queen’s Jubilee Medal for outstanding contribution to Canada and the Canada Day Youth Award. For her ability to motivate Indigenous youth across Canada, Ms. Kingdon was named both a National Métis Youth Role and a National Aboriginal Youth Role Model. Ms. Kingdon received the prestigious 2005 Indspire Youth Award and was named the YMCA/YWCA Young Woman of Distinction.

During her 2009 Chartered Accountant convocation, Ms. Kingdon received the James W. Clarke Award and the Great West Life Leadership Award. Ms. Kingdon was the only Indigenous professional in the graduating class.

Ms. Kingdon is on the Indspire Board of Directors and co-owner of Reveal Laser Aesthetics in Winnipeg.
