David Whiteley

David Whiteley, CPA/CA is a Partner in the Capital Markets Accounting Advisory Services practice in Calgary, AB. His accounting advisory experience has involved him in many areas such as outsourced CFO, regulatory compliance, merger integration, IPO readiness and IFRS change management projects.  He is also the lead partner for PwC Canada's Extractive Sector Transparency Measures Act (ESTMA) team.

David has more than 20 years of experience in both consulting and the energy industry. He has also worked with other industries, including mining, hospitality, railways and shipping. Prior to joining PwC, David held several senior executive positions in the energy industry, including CFO and corporate secretary of an international oil and gas company with operations in Canada and South America. He was also the Manager of Strategy and Planning for a multinational conglomerate. David returned to PwC in 2006 and leads a diverse group of professionals which provides complex accounting advisory services to domestic and international companies.
