Dan Weland

Dan Weland is a senior manager in the Indirect Tax Services practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in the downtown Toronto location.

Dan who has worked exclusively in the indirect tax area since 1983, helps clients structure their transactions, determine the tax status of products and services and has considerable experience in the application of Canadian indirect taxes to international transactions and cross border charges.

He presented a paper on the application of GST and PST to partnerships and joint ventures at the 2012 Commodity Tax West Symposium and presented a paper on the application of GST/HST on real estate transactions at the 2010 Commodity Tax Symposium in Ottawa.

Dan has also tutored for several years at the In-Depth Course HST/GST Course held in Collingwood and Niagara-on-the-Lake

Dan is a chartered professional accountant and is a graduate of the McMaster University. He joined PricewaterhouseCoopers audit assurance group in 1980 before moving to tax in 1983.
