Chris Boland

Chris is a professional International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) consultant, specializing in assisting clients with their training, advisory, adoption and application of IFRS, and the application of new IASB/FASB standards. Chris has extensive experience with matters such as current IFRS, new IFRS, IASB Exposure Drafts, discussion papers and U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) standards.

Prior to establishing his public practice and IFRS teaching career, Chris was general manager (accounting, IFRS, internal controls and tax) at Canada Post Corporation. His earlier positions at other organizations include CFO and VP finance; director of tax and treasury, controller; manager of financial reporting and controller (overseas operations); manager of financial reporting; and budget analyst. He was also an auditor at the Office of the Auditor General. Chris has over 25 years of experience in sectors which include private and publicly traded entities, pharma, Crown corporations, government, real estate, oil and gas, mining, high-tech: telecommunications and software, and many other industries.
