Cheryl McGillivray, CPA, CA

Cheryl has been with the Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) since 2006. She is manager, Corporate Finance, where her main responsibilities include the oversight of reporting issuers filings such as prospectuses, continuous disclosure filings and applications for exemptive relief. A large part of the oversight role involves the assessment of reporting issuers’ financial reporting and other continuous disclosure obligations.

In addition, Cheryl participates in policy work and sits on a number of Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) committees, relating to prospectus and continuous disclosure policies and application. She has also instructed several Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) sessions.

Cheryl is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and she held several senior financial management positions prior to joining the ASC. She has extensive financial management and financial reporting experience.
