Carol Devenny

Carol is a senior partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) in Ottawa. She graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from Queen’s University in 1982 and joined PwC Ottawa immediately thereafter. Carol received her accounting designation in 1985 and qualified as a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) in 1994 and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the U.S. in 2000. She was admitted into the partnership in 1995.

Carol has been involved in a variety of audit and financial consulting engagements including initial public offerings, business valuations and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) conversions. Her range of experience includes providing services to organizations in the investment management, pensions, manufacturing, retail, communications, government, real estate and high technology sectors of the economy. Her current area of focus is the public sector.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario named Carol a Fellow in 2009 in recognition of her leadership provided to the profession (including chairing the Public Sector Accountability Board’s Task Force on Related Parties) and her contribution as an accountant to the community. In 2014 the Women’s Executive Network named her one of Canada’s 100 Most Powerful Women.
