Ben Sencabaugh

Ben is a senior manager in Deloitte LLP’s Audit Advisory practice in Toronto. After joining what was then known as the Complex Accounting and Transactions Expertise Group in 2006, Ben developed a specialization in the accounting for financial instruments, including hedging and derivatives as well as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) conversion services. In addition to a focus in these accounting areas, Ben also spends a significant amount of time working with clients pursuing filings with securities regulators.

Ben is a CPA, CA, working with public and private companies under various accounting frameworks. He has more than 17 years of experience providing assurance and advisory services.

In addition to a focus on financial instruments and general IFRS, his experience includes transaction advisory, mainly at the due diligence stage, as well other complex accounting issues and analysis.

With a recent focus on consumer business, Ben has a broad background working with clients across a range of industries, and has served public and private companies in Canada and the U.S.
