Barry is a professional accountant and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) – the global body for professional accountants. He was a founding member of the B.C. chapter. Barry was chair of the Better Business Bureau of Mainland B.C., and is currently a director and treasurer of that organization.
He has started and operated his own businesses, so he has a direct and personal understanding of small business and their pressing issues. Over 30 years ago, Barry created a software development company in the midst of an economic depression and ran it successfully for eight years. Through that experience, he learned that following a plan and being able to adapt to changing circumstances are the keys to surviving - and thriving - in business.
