Andrew is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant and a CFA charterholder. He joined Credit Suisse Canada as vice-president of financial accounting in 2012. Prior to that Andrew had 13 years of public accounting service with a specific focus on investment dealers. He has a broad range of experience and expertise in the investment industry, which includes working with Canadian bank-owned broker dealers, independent Type 2, 3 and 4 introducing brokers, foreign-owned broker dealers and carrying brokers. He has also led Canadian Standard on Assurance Engagements (CSAE) 3416 (section 5970 prior to 2012) control report audits for several carrying brokers, and successfully completed several back-office business advisory assignments for a number of Canadian broker dealers. Beyond the broker dealer industry, Andrew has worked with independent asset managers, provincial and federal investment funds, Securities and Exchange Commission Custody Rule qualified custodians and Mutual Fund Dealers Association dealers. Andrew has completed the Canadian Securities Institute Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada Chief Financial Officer Qualifying Exam.
