Our course is designed to complement and support real-life experience by providing you with the opportunity to apply the principles and rules of conduct for professional accountants to sample ethical situations. As you work through and respond to eight multiple-choice scenarios and four case studies, see how your answers stack up to the feedback guidance provided.

Structure

This course includes eight multiple-choice scenarios and four case studies. For each exercise, you will have the opportunity to enter your response in a text box and then reveal feedback so you can compare your answer.

Feedback

Extensive feedback is provided based on the CPABC’s Code of Professional Conduct (June 2015).

Note that if you are from a jurisdiction other than B.C., there may be some differences between the CPABC Code and the code of conduct of your regional CPA body. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with your own regional CPA body’s requirements. 

Quiz

Once you have completed the exercises, you are required to complete a 10-question quiz based on your legacy designation. You must achieve a score of at least 7 out of 10 in order to receive CPD credit. This course qualifies for 4 CPD credits.

Time commitment

On average, each scenario takes about 10 minutes and each case study takes about 30 minutes to complete. The open-book quiz takes about 30 minutes.
