Learn the fundamentals of accounting for income taxes in Canada under both IFRS and ASPE with this introduction to basic concepts: recognition, measurement, valuation, presentation, disclosure and more.

You will also be introduced to some advanced topics in accounting for income tax.

Format and materials:

You must complete the self-study elearning component of this course before the classroom session. The self-study component includes:
  • an ebook
  • elearning activities
  • assessment questions
A half-day classroom session follows the elearning component of the course. The classroom session will walk you through case studies so you can apply the concepts covered in the elearning. You can choose to attend the classroom session in person or virtually. The case studies for the classroom session will be available following the completion of the elearning.

Other information:

Students will get access to the elearning materials upon registration. The elearning component of the course includes a discussion board, which is facilitated by a subject matter expert who will answer any content questions you may have.
