This session will address RPA (robotic process automation). RPA is the use of software with artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities to handle high-volume, repeating tasks that previously required humans to perform. These tasks can include queries, calculations and maintenance of records and transactions. RPA technology mimics a human worker, logging into applications, entering data, calculating and completing tasks, and logging out.
RPA software isn't part of an organization's IT infrastructure. Instead, it sits on top of it, enabling a company to implement the technology quickly and efficiently -- all without changing the existing infrastructure and systems. Learn what is possible with RPA and the benefits that await you. Learn about products in the marketplace today.

Demystifying IoT – with Solutions Comparison
Led by Dr. Ajay Marwaha, PwC Canada

The "Internet of things" (IoT) is becoming an increasingly growing topic of conversation both in the workplace and outside of it and is already impacting the way we live and work. IoT is the concept of connecting any device with an on and off switch to the Internet and/or to other devices. One IoT device connects to another to transmit information using Internet transfer protocols. IoT platforms serve as the bridge between the devices' sensors and the data networks.

Gartner says that by 2020 there will be over 26 billion connected devices. IoT can be applied to things like transportation networks: "smart cities" which can help us reduce waste and improve efficiency for things such as energy use; it provides endless opportunities and also many challenges. Security, privacy and data sharing are major concerns, as well as how to store, track, analyze and make sense of the vast amounts of data that will be generated

Even with such thorny problems looming, IoT is altering spheres as diverse as health care and manufacturing, city planning, transportation and power generation, agriculture and household management.

Learn more about IoT and its impact on your organization and your clients. Current Io platform solutions in the marketplace will be compared.
