Eric Turner

Eric Turner, FCPA, FCA, has over 25 years’ experience in standard setting and until September 30, 2021 was Director of Auditing and Assurance Standards at the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada. In this role, Eric and his staff supported the operations of the Canadian Auditing and Assurance Standards Board, the independent setter of auditing, assurance and related services standards. He was admitted as a Fellow by CPA Ontario in September 2020.

Eric has been a member of the International Auditing and Assurance Standard Board since January 2019. He is chair of the Board’s Professional Skepticism Consultation Group, chair of its Liaison Group with the International Accounting Standards Board, and a member of the Audit Evidence Task Force.
