Malcolm M. Mercer

Malcolm is a committee member of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA)'s project to revise the AASB-CBA Joint Policy Statement.

He served as the chair of the Ethics and Professional Responsibility Committee for the CBA and as the team lead of the Ethics and Regulatory Committee for the CBA Futures Project.

He is currently a bencher and chair of the Professional Regulation Committee of the Law Society of Upper Canada, a member of the National Committee on Accreditation of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada, a legal ethics columnist for Slaw.ca, general counsel to McCarthy Tétrault LLP and a litigation partner with a commercial litigation practice. Malcolm was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1984.
