Canadian perspectives on implementing the TCFD recommendations
CPA Canada and A4S hosted a workshop with members of the Canadian CFO Leadership Network on implementing the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure. This paper provides insights into that discussion.
Members of the Canadian CFO Leadership Network participated in a workshop in Toronto hosted by CPA Canada and The Prince's Accounting for Sustainability (A4S) Project (established by The Prince of Wales in 2004), to obtain Canadian perspectives on the voluntary disclosure recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). The workshop also explored the practical steps Canadian companies are taking to implement the recommendations.
This paper provides a summary of the key observations made during the workshop, which was attended by investors, CFOs, and senior finance and risk management professionals from the private and public sector.
