CPA PEP admission for university degree holders: Non-accounting business majors

If you have a business undergraduate degree (non-accounting), you may be missing some required subjects for admission to the new CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP).

You must have an undergraduate degree with specific subject area coverage to be admitted to the new CPA PEP.

If your degree doesn’t include all the required subject area coverage [e.g., a degree other than a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting)], you can get that coverage through our CPA preparatory courses (formerly CPA PREP). CPA preparatory courses were developed nationally by the profession and are delivered part-time through self-study or instructor-facilitated formats by the provincial or regional bodies. You only need to complete the courses you require.

CPA provincial bodies are also working directly with post-secondary institutions to develop specific course requirements that meet the prerequisite knowledge requirements.
