If you are seeking admission to the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP) or the Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Finance (ACAF), you can take CPA preparatory courses to gain the knowledge requirements you are missing.

Economics is a self-study (non-core) course that provides an introduction to basic economic concepts, including:

  • microeconomic principles:
    • supply and demand
    • pricing
    • resource use
  • macroeconomic principles:
    • unemployment determinants
    • inflation
    • interest rates
    • GDP
    • fiscal and monetary policy analysis
