Become a marker for the CPA certification program

Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) is looking for a few good markers for the CPA PEP and CFE. If you’re interested, here’s what you need to know.

You can make a valuable difference to the CPA profession and help the next generation of accountants by being a CPA marker. CPA Canada hires markers throughout the year to evaluate module examinations in the CPA PEP and Common Final Examination. Marking positions are available in English and French; bilingual markers are preferred. You can find out more about upcoming modules, their respective examination dates as well as marking centre dates by viewing the marking schedule.

CPA CFE

We will be holding the Common Final Examination (CFE) evaluation centre in Montréal, QC. There are three marking sessions:

  • Day 1: October 13-26, 2017
  • Day 2: October 7-20, 2017
  • Day 3: October 13-25, 2017

Compensation:

  • Day 1 and Day 2: $5400, plus applicable expenses
  • Day 3: $5000, plus applicable expenses

  2. Email the form to cpamarking@cpacanada.ca

Applications will not be accepted after July 30, 2017. 

CPA PEP module-end examinations

Marking commitment:

  • A minimum 24-hour commitment for live marking plus an 8-hour training day per marking session is required.
  • All training and marking are done remotely.

Compensation:

  • Remuneration is based on a fee per case marked (ranges from $10 to $15/case).
  • A rate of $60 per hour is paid for arbitration papers.
  • A flat rate is paid for mandatory preparation and training time.
