About the CFE

The CFE is three-day examination that requires candidates to demonstrate the depth and breadth of their competency development in accordance with the CPA competency map. Candidates prepare for this examination after completing the education component of the CPA certification program.

In addition to the technical skills associated with the profession, the CPA certification program offers a solid understanding of:

  • leadership

  • communications
  • strategy

These skills and knowledge are combined with a strong understanding of what it means to be a professional and act ethically.
